U.S. Warns Border Wall Construction Could Spark Large-Scale Protests

People and their tissue paper feelings. Grow a sack and man up.

Customs and Border Protection issues memo over planned construction of border wall prototypes near San Diego

LOS ANGELES—The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is worried that planned construction of short stretches of border wall prototypes near San Diego could spark large-scale protests and violence, according to an intelligence alert described to The Wall Street Journal by two law-enforcement officials.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection warned state and local law enforcement that protests “may arise with little or no warning” and could pose a “threat to U.S. personnel and infrastructure” along the border, according to the three-page memo dated Sept. 6.

The agency advised that protesters may try to block construction and U.S. Border Patrol vehicles along undeveloped stretches of land near the edge of a secondary fence near San Diego.

Construction on wall prototypes is expected to begin Sept. 26, according to the alert. It was unclassified but marked as law-enforcement sensitive, one of the officials said.

The alert didn’t detail government plans to deal with any such protests.

Neither official provided additional details about any response plans.

The alert was sent to several federal and local law-enforcement agencies, according to one of the officials.

Customs and Border Protection declined to comment. Representatives for the Department of Homeland Security didn’t respond to requests for comment.

The Trump administration said at the end of August that four companies had been selected to build short sections of concrete border walls. Designs for four other wall samples built from “other materials” were selected earlier this month.

President Donald Trump promised to build a wall along the Mexican border the day he announced his run for president in June 2015. The pledge became a rallying cry at campaign events, along with his proclamation that Mexico would pay for the structure.

The Homeland Security Department is using money already in its coffers to pay for the prototypes.

The concrete sections of wall prototypes have an average cost of about $450,000 and will be 30 feet long and up to 30 feet high, according to Ron Vitiello, acting deputy commission of Customs and Border Protection.

The agency said earlier this month that the other designs would be between 18 and 30 feet high. It didn’t provide a cost estimate for the other wall samples.

There is already about 650 miles of fencing along the Mexican border, much of it built as part of the 2006 Secure Fence Act during President George W. Bush’s second term.

The intelligence alert said protesters have previously tried to block border fence constructions.

Officials warned that efforts to stop new border wall construction could mirror the size and scope of protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota.

The CBP alert also warned law-enforcement officials that drug cartels and other criminals could try to take advantage of any chaos created by the protests to commit crimes along the border.

Leftists hang KKK clowns from tree to protest white nationalism—but black leaders aren’t applauding

Even when the Leftists try and make a statement they ALWAYS find some way to completely screw everything up.

Leftist groups like Antifa had been getting away with carrying out violence, destruction, and mayhem for quite a while. Some liberals have been silent in the face of their behavior; others who bothered to speak up compared them to heroic World War II allies who fought the Nazis.

But lately Antifa’s efforts to beat down, destroy, and intimidate have been met with pushback from some liberals who perhaps finally realized that silence or support regarding violent criminal elements in their ranks does more harm than good.

Clearly, left-wing “artist” group INDECLINE didn’t read the memo.

Remember the jokesters who placed large naked statues of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump in very public places last year? That was INDECLINE. Classy bunch. Anyway, they thought it would be a fine idea to go to a Richmond, Virginia, public park in the middle of the night Thursday and hang clowns dressed in KKK garb from a tree.

Their point?

To “protest of the White Nationalist uprising in the United States,” the group said in statement, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. They even released a video showing a tiny band of merry men — curiously dressed in Antifa-like black clothing with bandannas covering their faces — driving to Bryan Park and hanging the KKK clowns after having spent some time putting them together.

But if INDECLINE wanted to score political points with black leaders, they barked up the wrong tree.

“When you look at something like that, whether you consider it art or not art, lynching is not something that we’re in agreement with at all,” James “J.J.” Minor, president of the Richmond branch of the NAACP, told the Times-Dispatch. “We do not support any groups that support violence.”

Bernice Travers, president of the Richmond Crusade for Voters — which the paper said is the city’s oldest black voter advocacy organization — went even further, telling the Times-Dispatch that INDECLINE “does not understand … the pain black people endured then, and still feel today, about hangings.”

More from the paper:

In a news release, INDECLINE said it chose Richmond for its latest action because it is the former capital of the Confederacy and Bryan Park because it’s the site where Gabriel Prosser plotted a famous slave rebellion in 1800.

A sign hung around the neck of one of the clowns read, “If attacked by a mob of clowns, go for the juggler — INDECLINE.”

This is not the first time the group has used imagery of hanging figures. In 2012, the group vandalized billboards in Las Vegas, writing “hope you’re happy Wall St.” and “dying for work” on them and dangling a mannequin from a noose off the side.

Richmond police responded to the incident by sealing off the area around the tree with crime-scene tape and then closing the park, the Times-Dispatch said. There have been no arrests, police told the paper.

INDECLINE, eh? The name suddenly seems fitting.

NFL Reportedly Considering Moving Buccaneers vs. Dolphins Due to Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Irma is currently at CAT5 status. 170 MPH winds.
Because of concerns with Hurricane Irma, the NFL is reportedly considering changing the date or location of the Week 1 game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins.

According to Steven Wine of the Associated Press, the game that is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in Miami could be moved up to Thursday or Friday instead.

Hurricane Irma is set to hit several Caribbean Islands this week, and CNN meteorologist Allison Chinchar expects it to make landfall in the United States next Monday. The current track is moving toward Florida, though it could also affect much of the East Coast.

The National Hurricane Center provided the latest path projection Monday:

The storm could be especially damaging with so many resources already being used to help Houston and its surrounding areas following Hurricane Harvey.

The Houston Texans moved a scheduled home preseason game to Arlington and became the visiting team against the Dallas Cowboys last week, though it could be more difficult to change a regular-season game like that of the Buccaneers and Dolphins.

Though both teams have a scheduled bye in Week 11 in the middle of November, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reported the squads informed the NFL they would not want the game postponed to their bye.

Author Says Twitter Banned Ad with Conservative Viewpoint

Of course they did. Twitter is owned and run by Liberals. What did you expect?

A Christian book author is claiming that Twitter banned an ad featuring his book about God’s design for marriage.

Former pastor Craig Stellpflug of Washington State tried to promote his book, “One Man One Woman: God’s Original Design for Marriage,” in a paid Twitter ad. He claims the social media giant did not approve his tweet because it determined his content to be “hateful.”

“They started promoting it. They took my money,” Stellpflug told The Christian Post. “Then, I get [an] email that [the] tweet was not approved and that it was determined to be hate.”

“’One Man One Woman’ discloses God’s original design and purpose for sex and marriage,” Stellpflug wrote on his website. WestBow Press published the book in June. Stellpflug teaches Bible study and Sunday school classes at Sunrise Baptist Church in Custer, Washington.

“Twitter is free to run its business according to its liberal values that support the redefinition of marriage, but shouldn’t bakers, florists and photographers who support the historic understanding of marriage be free to run their businesses as well?” Ryan T. Anderson, a senior research fellow at The Heritage Foundation and author of “Truth Overruled: The Future of Marriage and Religious Freedom,” told LifeZette.

“Twitter just condemned my book as ‘hate’!” Stellpflug tweeted in response to the situation this month. Twitter labeled the ad under “hate speech” and consequently did not approved the tweet, according to Stellpflug.

Twitter has an ad policy: It says it bans hate content, sensitive topics and violence — including, apparently, the belief in traditional marriage.

The policy applies to “hate speech or advocacy against an individual, organization or protected group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, color, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status or other protected status.”

Twitter did not respond to a request for comment.

Stellpflug’s book on marriage takes an “honest look at how the ever-changing society we live in has wandered so far from an unchanging God and His will,” according to Stellpflug’s blog.

“This whole book started as bits and pieces of personal teaching notes and Bible studies-loosely organized in a document folder,” he wrote. “A majority of the chapters in ‘One Man One Woman’ are adapted directly from my personal Bible studies and teaching notes. The actual inspiration for the book itself came when I was talking to my children’s youth pastor about how he would handle a homosexual couple entering a youth Bible study or some other gathering.”

Road To Urban DESPAIR Paved By Democrats

The Democrats push this whole mantra that they are the ones looking out for the folks in the inner city. Play Them This Video!

Riots broke out in Milwaukee the other day, and before that in other cities, each erupting with familiar sights: fire and pain, anger and looting.

It will likely happen again in some other urban area, perhaps after a black man is killed by a police officer, whether the shooting is justified or unjustified. Was the victim a known criminal pointing a gun at a cop? Or not? These are reasons, but reasons really don’t matter now, do they?

The fire is the thing. The anger is the thing.

And all we’re doing now is waiting for the next one.

Our media high priests — the guardians of the political establishment — come to us with reasoned explanations for the urban tinderbox.

They tell us of hopelessness and despair. But ignore the one thing that binds them all, the one inconvenient truth of things.

We know that institutions have broken down. Generations of black families have been shattered by the welfare state.

We’ve created government systems that maintain human beings in poverty and ignorance so that politicians can count on their votes.

And that is a crime against morality.

You know this. There are schools that don’t work and haven’t for decades, schools where teachers are overwhelmed, where children arrive thoroughly unprepared, where too many parents are indifferent.

Political corruption is an epidemic, a hidden tax upon urban economic wastelands, where there are no jobs for people who aren’t trained and educated for work.

During a riot, when businesses begin to burn and rocks are thrown and guns are fired, political actors in those little boxes on TV begin to bark in cliches.

They use words like “empowerment” and “investment” and “social infrastructure” and “social justice.”

Blame is assessed and pressed like hot iron into the flanks of the rich, or of “corporations,” and others with means, a moronic and frightening misunderstanding of how jobs are created. It is as if “The Big Rock Candy Mountain” has become economic policy.

And by such logic all we must do is lower the rich into a giant cauldron, add salt and bay leaves and boil them down for soup to soothe the neighborhoods on fire.

And while we’re at it, why not find that magical unlimited federal checkbook and a committee of the best and the brightest to guide us?

But we’ve already had government run by the best and the brightest. And we’ve spent trillions of dollars in America’s war on poverty.

And just what has been accomplished? The crime statistics tell you. The jobless numbers tell you. The graduation rates tell you. Open your eyes and see the despair.

Baltimore is a Democratic city, Milwaukee is a Democratic city, Chicago, Detroit, and on and on.

This is a most inconvenient truth. This is what binds them.

For decade after decade, Democrats have controlled policy and politics in the broken cities. This is the proof of Democratic success.

The broken schools have been run by Democrats for decades. The broken institutions are run by Democrats.

The political corruption in these cities is Democratic corruption, where government is the hammer used to beat others into forking over their cash.

The corruption tax presses down upon the economic wastelands, where there are no jobs to be had.

Urban school systems remain broken for students and families. Yet they feed the bureaucrats and the vendors who sell goods and services to education bureaucrats.

And the well-fed know what they’re supposed to do on Election Day: Vote Democratic.

Big city school bureaucrats are political creatures, loyal to their sponsors in the statehouse or at your City Hall. The teachers unions, by definition, are about protecting their members. Everybody’s covered but the desperate.

And the kids? They don’t have a union. They can’t vote. They don’t write campaign checks to politicians.

Those who suffer the most from broken urban policy are those who are told that Democrats are the only ones who can protect them.

Protect them from what? Poverty, violence, joblessness and bad schools? All that has been provided.

Those who push broken government programs and liberal policy aren’t evil people. Most intended to work for the good.

But they made a terrible mistake in thinking that the strong arm of government is the answer. It isn’t. It never was.

Are there alternatives to the crushing cynicism of the Democratic welfare state? Yes. Liberty is the answer, not some politician using government to “empower” people. Growth is the answer, not government control.

People need hope. And meaningful work — which doesn’t mean waltzing around with a clipboard on some government payroll — is essential for self-respect.

So here are some alternatives:

Radically cut taxes and change workers’ compensation and other anti-business laws in urban areas to promote business job growth.

And support true school choice — meaning vouchers — so impoverished minority students aren’t deprived of a future.

Democrat bosses, the trial lawyers and public unions hate such ideas. But then, they’re the muscle of Democratic politics.

That strong arm of government helps politicians to maintain power and control.

But as we’ve seen, the strong arm of government can also pave the road to hell.

Gorka Mocks Obama Aide’s Response To His Debate Challenge

We all know Ben Rhodes would never debate Sebastian Gorka. Rhodes was nothing but a glorified pitbull unleashed to cause havoc on the American people. Or should I say anyone that wasn’t a Democrat.

Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Donald Trump, mocked the response from a former top aide in the Obama administration to his challenge to debate. He made the retort from his social media account Monday.

“PREDICTABLE,” Gorka tweeted, “I guess an MA in Fictional Writing ill equips [Ben Rhodes] to publicly explain what he was doing in the White House for 8 years.”

He was responding to CNN’s Jake Tapper, who passed on a reply from Ben Rhodes, the former Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications for the Obama administration.

According to Tapper, Rhodes said, “I have no idea what Sebastian Gorka’s actual job is and have even less interest in debating him on television.”

Gorka had mocked the foreign policy failures of the Obama administration Thursday on CNN while speaking with Jake Tapper. When Tapper protested Gorka’s comment that no former military members advised the Obama administration, Gorka retorted that Ben Rhodes had more influence despite only having a master’s degree in creative writing to his credit when he was hired.

“Not people as influential as Ben Rhodes who had a master’s degree in fictional writing,” Gorka responded. “That is disastrous.”

“Well, I’m sure he would put his graduate degree against yours any day of the week,” Tapper jabbed. “Sebastian Gorka, I appreciate your time.”

“Anytime, I’d be glad to debate him on your show,” he responded.

Some have cast doubt on the credibility of Gorka’s Ph.D in political science from Corvinus University of Budapest, saying that it was granted under dubious circumstances.

Gorka has been celebrated by supporters of the president for his attacks on the media while defending the administration on cable news shows. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper referred to Gorka as “the Hungarian Don Rickles” for all the insults he’s hurled against CNN.
